Area Sales Manager – Steam / Condensate / Water
Location: Midlands (Birmingham / Derby / Leicester)
Overview:
A high-performing Area Sales Manager is needed to drive £1m annual sales across a well-established region. You’ll manage a mix of repeat-spend customers and warm legacy accounts, using a consultative, technically aware approach to maximise revenue and margin. Experience with steam, hot water, building services, or M&E packages is ideal.
This role suits a commercially sharp, technically confident salesperson who can grow accounts, win new business, and build strong partnerships across internal teams.

- Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute regional sales plans to hit ambitious growth targets.
- Analyse market trends, competitors, and new business opportunities.
- Feed into business strategy at senior level.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and sales KPIs.
- Identify performance gaps and drive corrective action.
- Customer Management
- Deepen relationships with key accounts and maximise spend.
- Re-engage warm legacy accounts to unlock growth.
- Prospect and win new customers across the region.
- Act as escalation point for complex issues, ensuring swift resolution.
- Work closely with technical, support, service, and marketing teams to deliver a seamless customer journey.
- Reporting & Admin
- Maintain clear sales pipeline visibility and project tracking.
- Keep CRM records accurate and up to date.
- Ensure full compliance with internal policies and processes.

Qualifications & Experience
- Proven territory sales experience within technical or industrial sectors.
- Experience selling technical solutions or engineered products is a strong advantage.
- Understanding of steam, condensate, hot water, or building services highly desirable.
