About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Lift Service Engineer to join our client's team in Nottingham. The role involves carrying out routine servicing, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs on a range of lift systems to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. You will be a key part of our team, delivering excellent service to our clients and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance and servicing on lifts, ensuring systems operate safely and reliably.
- Fault Diagnosis: Identify and address minor faults and issues during servicing to prevent major breakdowns.
- Emergency Call-Outs: Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and advice on lift performance and maintenance requirements.
- Documentation: Accurately complete maintenance records, service reports, and compliance documentation.
- Health & Safety: Ensure all work complies with industry standards, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers and departments to provide seamless service delivery.
Skills and Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent qualification (essential).
- Proven experience in servicing and maintaining a variety of lift systems.
- Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of lift industry standards and regulations (e.g., EN81, LOLER).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
- Valid UK driving license (essential).
Desirable:
- Experience working on both hydraulic and traction lifts.
- Familiarity with modern lift technologies and control systems.
- CSCS card or equivalent certification.
