Job Description
The Applications Engineer supports the Engineering Team by developing detailed technical designs and preparing project-specific documentation and work instructions. The role connects design, manufacturing, and client communication to ensure engineering projects are delivered accurately, efficiently, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain a solid understanding of all engineering systems, processes, and company products.

Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure safe, efficient use of resources and to meet production targets and delivery schedules.

Support the Engineering Team to ensure all builds comply with contractual specifications and internal design standards.

Act as a technical contact for customers, ensuring clear communication and providing support throughout project delivery.

Assist with procurement tasks by coordinating with administrative staff to ensure timely purchasing of materials and components.

Compile accurate project data to support timely invoicing for the Group Financial Director.

Represent the company at client meetings when required.

Participate in occasional out-of-hours client entertainment following Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).

Maintain close communication with customers post-order to ensure expectations are understood, documented, and met.

Manage engineering orders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, to specification, and to the required quality standards.

Ensure full compliance with the company’s Business Management System within all areas of responsibility.
Essential Qualifications / Experience

Minimum of HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Computer literate with a good grasp of Microsoft office (Word / Excel / Outlook)

Industry experience (Typically 2-5 Years)

Experienced in AutoCAD and/or Inventor.
