Job Description

The Applications Engineer supports the Engineering Team by developing detailed technical designs and preparing project-specific documentation and work instructions. The role connects design, manufacturing, and client communication to ensure engineering projects are delivered accurately, efficiently, and to specification.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a solid understanding of all engineering systems, processes, and company products.

  • Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure safe, efficient use of resources and to meet production targets and delivery schedules.

  • Support the Engineering Team to ensure all builds comply with contractual specifications and internal design standards.

  • Act as a technical contact for customers, ensuring clear communication and providing support throughout project delivery.

  • Assist with procurement tasks by coordinating with administrative staff to ensure timely purchasing of materials and components.

  • Compile accurate project data to support timely invoicing for the Group Financial Director.

  • Represent the company at client meetings when required.

  • Participate in occasional out-of-hours client entertainment following Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).

  • Maintain close communication with customers post-order to ensure expectations are understood, documented, and met.

  • Manage engineering orders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, to specification, and to the required quality standards.

  • Ensure full compliance with the company’s Business Management System within all areas of responsibility.

 


Essential Qualifications / Experience

  • Minimum of HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

  • Computer literate with a good grasp of Microsoft office (Word / Excel / Outlook)

  • Industry experience (Typically 2-5 Years)

  • Experienced in AutoCAD and/or Inventor.
