About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Lift Repair Engineer to join our client's team in Bristol. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out complex repairs, upgrades, and fault-finding on a wide range of lift systems. This is a hands-on role requiring technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to ensuring systems are safe, reliable, and meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lift Repairs: Diagnose and perform repairs on a wide variety of lift systems, including hydraulic and traction systems.
  • Modernization & Upgrades: Implement lift modernizations and upgrade components to improve system performance and compliance with current standards.
  • Fault-Finding: Use advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all work complies with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
  • Emergency Call-Outs: Respond to emergency repair requests promptly and professionally.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate service reports, repair records, and compliance documentation.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with clients, service managers, and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent (essential).
  • Proven experience in lift repairs, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of lift systems from various manufacturers.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent understanding of lift regulations (e.g., EN81, LOLER).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple repair projects.
  • Valid UK driving license (essential).

Desirable:

  • Experience with lift modernization projects.
  • Familiarity with advanced lift control systems and remote monitoring technologies.
  • CSCS card or equivalent certification.
