About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Lift Service Engineer to join our client's team in Edinburgh. This role involves maintaining, servicing, and ensuring the reliable operation of lift systems across various client sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent customer service, and a commitment to delivering high standards of safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance & Servicing: Conduct planned preventative maintenance on a variety of lift systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
  • Fault Diagnosis & Minor Repairs: Identify issues and perform minor repairs during routine servicing to prevent breakdowns.
  • Emergency Call-Outs: Respond promptly and professionally to emergency breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to clients.
  • Customer Communication: Provide clear updates and advice to clients regarding maintenance schedules and any required repairs.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work meets relevant industry regulations, including EN81 and LOLER standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers and departments to deliver seamless service to clients.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent (essential).
  • Proven experience in the servicing and maintenance of lifts, including hydraulic and traction systems.
  • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong knowledge of lift safety standards and regulations.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
  • Valid UK driving license (essential).

Desirable:

  • Experience with a range of lift systems from different manufacturers.
  • Familiarity with modern lift technologies, control systems, and remote monitoring tools.
  • CSCS card or equivalent certification.
