Job Description:
They are currently seeking an experienced and talented Electrical Design Engineer to join the team.
You will be responsible for creating innovative electrical and control systems for a variety of projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company that fosters creativity and values innovation. There will be a requirement to travel to the site during the phases of the projects. This will vary from project to project.
Responsibilities:
- Design electrical and control systems for diverse projects utilising EPlan Electric and EPlan Pro Panel software, will consider Autocad.
- Create a wide range of design pages, including but not limited to title pages, table of contents, revision overviews, structure identifier overviews, explanatory documents, thermal calculations, safety evaluation reports, machine/plant layouts, bus network overviews, labels, electrical arrangement drawings, cut-out drawings, multi-line diagrams, single-line diagrams, PLC overviews, terminal strip overviews, terminal diagrams, cable overviews, cable diagrams.
- Generate reports, such as bill of materials, wire number labels, cable number labels, and device tag labels, using Excel spreadsheets.
- Collaborate closely with the project team to ensure timely and budget-compliant design deliveries.
- Provide technical support to the manufacturing, installation, and commissioning teams in the office and on-site.
- Proficient in safety hardware validation using SISTEMA.
- Travel to customer’s sites during installation when required by the project.
Requirements:
- HND in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an electrical designer.
- Familiarity with safety, regulatory, and quality standards, including HSE and ISO.
- Strong expertise in electrical and control system design utilising EPlan Electric / Eplan pro, but will consider candidates who have worked on Autocad Electrical.
- Knowledge of basic electrical and control components.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
- Exceptional attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
