About the Role

Are you an experienced Generator Engineer looking for a new challenge in London? We are partnering with a reputable power generation specialist who is seeking a talented Generator Engineer to join their established team covering the London area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer with proven experience in the maintenance, servicing, and commissioning of diesel generators — ideally with Loadbanking experience.

You will work with a diverse client base across critical power, commercial buildings, data centres, and industrial sites, delivering first-class engineering support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive servicing on diesel generators and related equipment.

  • Conduct fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs both on-site and in the workshop.

  • Carry out Loadbank testing to ensure optimum generator performance and compliance with specifications.

  • Support installation and commissioning projects when required.

  • Maintain clear and accurate service reports and documentation.

  • Ensure high standards of customer service and compliance with health & safety policies at all times.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience working with diesel generators (multi-brand knowledge is an advantage).

  • Ideally experienced with Loadbanking and testing protocols.

  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.

  • Full UK driving licence (essential).

  • Willingness to travel within Greater London and occasionally surrounding areas.

  • Good communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
