HGV Technician
Overview
We are currently looking for skilled HGV Technicians to join our Depot in Thurrock. Applicants must be skilled and experienced at; MOT preparation, repairing, diagnosing, servicing and maintaining heavy good vehicles to a high standard.
Responsibilities
- Undertake all aspects of heavy vehicle maintenance and repair to a high standard
- MOT preparation, repairing, diagnosing, servicing, and maintaining heavy goods vehicles
- Work in a high-paced environment
- Write up job cards concisely
- Adhere to high regard for producing quality workmanship
Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Qualified at NVQ level 2 or 3 or equivalent (heavy vehicles)
- Experienced and able to undertake all aspects of heavy vehicle maintenance and repair to a high standard
- Own tool kit
- Current car driving licence (HGV & PSV desirable but not essential)
Desirable Requirements
- IRTEC qualification but not essential
Day-to-day
- Alternating early and late shift
- 42 ½ hours per week
- Week 1: Monday – Friday: 6.00 am – 3.00 pm
- Week 2: Monday – Friday: 2.00 pm – 11.00 pm
- Alternate Saturdays paid at time and a half 7 am – 2 pm (when workload permits)
