Tendering Engineer

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 + performance bonus
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00

About the Role

We are a specialist switchgear manufacturer delivering high-quality, bespoke power distribution solutions across the UK. With a strong reputation built on technical expertise and reliability, we support a wide range of industries with critical electrical infrastructure.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Tendering Engineer with an electrical engineering background to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who can combine technical knowledge with commercial awareness to produce accurate, competitive tenders and support project success from the outset.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret client specifications and technical drawings to prepare detailed quotations
• Develop compliant, cost-effective technical solutions
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and lead-time information
• Collaborate with design and project teams to ensure smooth handover of awarded contracts
• Support clients with value engineering options and alternative specifications

Skills & Experience

• Strong analytical and estimating skills with excellent attention to detail
• Background in electrical engineering, ideally within LV switchgear
• Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
