Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lift Project Manager to lead and deliver lift modernisation and refurbishment projects across Sheffield and the wider South Yorkshire region. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background in lifts who can manage projects from survey through to handover, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage lift modernisation projects from initial survey, specification and costing through to completion and handover

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, suppliers and internal teams

  • Plan, programme and coordinate works, ensuring minimal disruption to building users

  • Oversee subcontractors and engineers on site, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry regulations

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to specification

  • Conduct site surveys, risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)

  • Monitor health & safety performance, ensuring full compliance with LOLER, PUWER and company H&S procedures

  • Manage variations, change control and commercial aspects of projects

  • Attend site meetings and provide regular progress reports to management and clients

  • Ensure smooth commissioning, testing and final handover documentation


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Lift Project Manager, Lift Supervisor, or Senior Lift Engineer moving into project management

  • Strong background in lift modernisations (traction and/or hydraulic)

  • Good technical knowledge of lift systems, components and current regulations

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Commercial awareness and experience managing costs and variations

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, project planning tools)


Desirable

  • NVQ Level 3 or above in Lift Engineering

  • SMSTS or SSSTS

  • IOSH or NEBOSH

  • Experience working in occupied buildings (residential, commercial, healthcare, public sector)
