Lift Service Engineer – Exeter

Pay: Up to £23 per hour (DOE)
Location: Exeter & surrounding areas
Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Lift Service Engineer to cover Exeter and the wider Devon area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established lift company offering a stable workload, competitive hourly rates, and long-term progression.

The Role

As a Lift Service Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance, servicing, and fault finding on a range of lift equipment, ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining, and fault diagnosing passenger and goods lifts

• Working on a range of lift types and manufacturers

• Carrying out call-outs and breakdown response (rota-based)

• Ensuring compliance with LOLER, health & safety, and company procedures

• Completing accurate service reports and documentation

• Providing a professional service to clients and site contacts

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Lift Engineering

• Proven experience as a Lift Service Engineer

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

• Good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems

• Full UK driving licence

• Ability to work independently and manage your own route
