Job Description

 

As part of the Maintenance team the Electrical Maintenance Technician will assist in fault diagnosis and repair activities on key technical process equipment and provide support to production teams on technical process equipment as required. They will work closely with all staff in each area to ensure the smooth running of core business plant, optimising the productivity of machinery, equipment, proactively working to eliminate plant downtime and make improvements to the processes and ensuring the site and facility infrastructure is tested and maintained in accordance with current legislation. 

 

 

 

Key Skills 

 

Required

  • Qualified time served Electrician or Electrical maintenance technician with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience in an industrial environment
  • C&G/NVQ Qualification or equivalent
  • 18th Edition Qualification
  • Analytical capacity to identify and address technical issues/opportunities which can impact upon production and quality
  • Experience of motor controls, temperature and pressure sensing and control systems
  • Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems
  • Experience in troubleshooting installation, fault finding, and repairs
  • Able to read electrical drawings for fault diagnosis and isolation of circuits
  • Analysis and strategic thinking

Desirable

  • PLC Knowledge (Siemens S7)
  • InTouch Wonderware Scada experience
  • Knowledge of variable speed drives and soft starts
  • High voltage 11KV experience
  • Knowledge of steam system
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems
